How long do commercial batteries last?
Most commercial lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery systems carry a 10-year warranty and cycle life of 4,000–6,000 charge cycles — equating to 15–20 years at daily cycling rates.
Is battery storage worth it without solar panels?
Standalone battery storage can still deliver savings by charging from the grid during cheap overnight tariff periods and discharging during expensive peak periods. The strongest returns come from pairing storage with solar generation.
