Solar carport structures are not attached to a building and in most cases require planning permission. We manage the full planning process including structural and design drawings required for the application.
How much does a commercial solar carport cost?
Solar carports cost more per kWp than rooftop systems due to the structural steel framework required. A 20-space carport (approximately 25kWp) typically costs £40,000–£65,000 installed. Can I add EV chargers to a car park without solar?
Yes. We can install commercial EV charging without solar panels. However, integrating EV chargers with a solar carport produces the strongest financial returns by reducing the cost of charging to near zero during daylight hours.
