Can commercial EV chargers be integrated with an existing solar system?
Yes. We design EV charging systems to integrate with existing or new solar PV installations. A charge management system can prioritise solar generation for vehicle charging before drawing from the grid — maximising self-consumption and reducing charging costs.
Do I need a DNO application for commercial EV chargers?
For most commercial EV charging installations above 7kW, a DNO notification or application is required. For larger rapid DC installations, a formal grid connection application may be needed. We manage this process on your behalf.
Are there grants available for commercial EV charger installation?
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) provides a grant of up to £350 per socket (maximum 40 sockets per applicant) for eligible businesses. We can advise on eligibility and manage the application as part of your installation project.
